The Elks

A Proud American Tradition Since 1868

The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks is more than just a social club—we're a nationwide force for good with a legacy spanning over 150 years. Our non-political, non-sectarian American fraternity brings together people who believe in making their communities better places to live.

Making a National Impact

Every year, the Elks organization invests more than $80 million in programs that:

  • Award life-changing scholarships to deserving students

  • Support children with special needs

  • Host the national "Hoop Shoot" free-throw contest for more than 3 million children

  • Provide crucial services for veterans

  • Promote drug awareness education

  • Celebrate American patriotism through events like our annual Flag Day observance
